About Us
Bob Covey and Jill Richmond-Covey

We began our careers as psychotherapists. During over 20 years facilitating
people's growth and development, and studying many theories and methods,
we became interested in how people create truly satisfying lives. Since
1994, we have trained in Coaching, The Highlands Program, and Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Coaching is a rich synthesis of resources born
of people's need to keep pace with a rapidly changing technological,
social and business environment. Coaching is a partnership connection
that provides a structure and a process for people who want support
in articulating and achieving their goals.
The Highlands Program is a nationally recognized personal development
program for students, adults and corporations, designed to help people
be more successful in their lives and in their careers.
EMDR is a powerful and effective mind-body method that facilitates
the building of internal resources and the removal of blocks to personal
and work-place performance.
We are members of the International Coaching Federation, are completing
advanced training with Comprehensive Coaching University and are grateful
to have found just the right coach for ourselves.
About Jill
Hello, I'm Jill. For many years, I have been fascinated with the process
of attaining self-knowledge in order to be and live one's true nature.
In some traditions this is called the path of the warrior. I like this
word because I have found that it takes a measure of fierceness and
courage to seek the truth and to live authentically. It is a practice.
I, myself, have had many guides along the way: therapists, mentors and
coaches.
I'm presently exploring writing, including playwriting and poetry;
the body/mind spirit approach to wellness and illness; and several spiritual
traditions and contemplative practices.
I've been described as full of life and openhearted, curious and interested
in people and their journeys. People trust me and are themselves with
me. I believe in the inherent wisdom of each of us and in the power
of staying connected to each other and to the world.
About Bob
Hi, I'm Bob. For over 20 years I've worked in mental health delivery
organizations, as director, supervisor, staff member, and as consultant
on a range of work issues. I have experienced and appreciate many different
organizational viewpoints and the value of resource development for
people and groups.
When people work cooperatively in socially supportive efforts, they
create energy and possibilities that can't exist when we go our ways
separately.
I get excited about all the possibilities that community can offer
to individuals to grow and thrive. Community will be a part of LifeWork
as we go forward.
I am a sailor, and like to think of life as a constantly changing sea,
where we are guided by our resolve, our knowledge of navigation and
the local geography, our respect for changing weather and a clear picture
of our destination.
People describe me as down to earth, steady, thoughtful and respectful
of each person's "inner light." I invite people to be themselves
with me and enjoy working with others to create a growing and learning
environment where inspiration comes from discovering and being who we
truly are.
